We are a husband and wife team of fulltime beekeepers. Our bees live in fields near Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan. Our aim is to raise and keep healthy, disease free honeybee colonies, to produce raw (unpasteurized) honey from alfalfa, clover, and other wildflowers then package it straight from the honeycomb without filtration, pasteurization or creaming.
This means our honey still contains tiny particles of pollen, royal jelly, and some wax, as well as all the enzymes that come from the bees when they make it from flower nectar.
Our passion is to produce and eat food that is nourishing and healing to the body, and love all of the uses that raw honey offers. We started our honey business with 4 colonies 7 years ago and have grown into a thriving but manageable operation. Usually once a week or more we find ourselves in Saskatoon, and we often arrange by text for customers to pick up honey from us.
Often people will have questions about how bees make honey and we are always happy to meet new people and share what we know. Some customers were so interested in bees that they decided to purchase their own colony from us! Of course they have even more questions and we always enjoy staying in touch with people who buy bees from us too.
